The creator of game Resident Evil; Shinji Mikami has officially revealed his new creation with Tango Gameworks. The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine ‘Famitsu’ has the scoop on the studio's new game, which is a survival horror title in development under the working title "Zwei."
Mikami will serve as the game's executive director, and is said to be "fully involved" in the project's development. The initial development on Zwei began by the end of 2010, with the game's basic settings about halfway completed. Nevertheless, the developer did not share news on which platforms the game will settle for, but noted that they would probably be for high-definition gaming systems.
As for its name, Zwei is the German word for "two," but Mikami said in an update to the developer's website that this name is not intended to reveal specifics about the game. Additionally, the first images of Zwei are not necessarily representative of the final product. According to the developer, the shots only represent the “feel and tone” of the project.
No release date has been announced for Zwei, but last month it was reported that the project would not make it this year. But it certainly looks like a title worth waiting for.
