Samsung starts rolling out Android 4.0 updates for Galaxy Tablets

Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update notifications have started popping up on the Samsung Galaxy Tab family members.

As news had popped up a couple of weeks ago, the majority of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab family of tablets was supposed to receive the update some time in July or early August. Fortunately, the wait wasn’t that long and now users can finally experience ICS on their tablets.

Here the tablets that are going to get the ICS update:

1. GT-P6210 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI
2. GT-P6200 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI + 3G
3. GT-P6810 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI
4. GT-P6800 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI + 3G
5. GT-P7310 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI
6. GT-P7300 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G
7. GT-P7510 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI
8. GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI + 3G

Unfortunately, the update is only available currently in Australia. But the global roll-out has started, so keep an eye on Kies and your notification area in case it has reached your area.
