The MK802, as it is called may look like an ordinary USB stick. But this thing is actually a full-on and fully-functional personal computer.
Of course, you will need to attach it to a display, power source and connect some sort of keyboard/mouse combo, but the MK802 could very well be one of the smallest PC’s around, with FXI dual-core USB stick being the nearest competitor around. But the Chinese built MK802 is much affordable than the latter.
Of course, for those savings there are some down-sides. The MK802 is from an unspecified manufacturer, and has a single core 1.5Ghz processor (as opposed to the dual-core FXI). Also, the HDMI is a connector, rather than a socket, so you’ll need to use a cable rather than just stick it into the back of a TV.
However, the MK802 comes with 512 MB of RAM, WiFi connectivity, and 4GB of internal storage. There is also an undetermined “3D Graphical processor” inside, but it does come with a plethora of cables and adapters for connectivity.
The device comes with Android preinstalled, although other platforms should also load onto it. And as mentioned, the device will set you back US $74 or 28 Omani Riyals.
